Our Next Monthly Meeting

Note: MWBA meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month.

For 2026, those dates are: January 7, February 4, March 4, April 1 (how appropriate!), May 6, June 3, July 1, August 5, September 2, October 7, November 4 and December 2.

Our meetings begin at 8:00 a.m. They are held at Denny's Restaurant, 2525 W Deer Valley Rd, Phoenix, AZ. Please come an hour early to enjoy breakfast and chatter. The agenda typically includes: brief words of wisdom (and usually an appalling “joke”) from the President, a Presidential “Welcome, New Members,” the Treasurer’s Brief Report on MWBA Solvency, our most recent Tournament Results (winners receive their checks for the Tmx and cash from the Side Pot), the next Tournament (location, launching information and initial pairings, when the printer works), a 50:50 Cash Pot and a raffle of member-donated items.

Our meetings rarely go beyond 9:30 a.m.

New and Old Members: Regarding the raffle — Everyone is encouraged to donate items. They need not be fishing-related, but they must be in good condition. Proceeds help keep down the cost of annual membership. So, check your boat, garage and storage unit(s). Surely you have extra Banjo Minnows, Helicopter Lures and Walking Worms. Maybe even a new trolling motor with SpotLock and all the trimmings?

Just think of the collateral benefits of bringing items: Donating unneeded tackle and other things will make room for new stuff that you desperately need. Or think you need. Personally, when it comes to fishing equipment, what I want is what I need. Either way, it’s a win-win situation.
