Monthly Meetings
MWBA Meets on the 1st Wednesday of Each Month
For 2026, the dates are: January 7, February 4, March 4, April 1, May 6, June 3, July 1, August 5, September 2, October 7, November 4 and December 2.
Our meetings begin at 0800, at Denny's Restaurant, 2525 W Deer Valley Rd, Phoenix, AZ. Many Members come 60-90 minutes early to enjoy breakfast and chatter. The unwritten agenda typically includes: President’s Greeting and “Welcome, New Members;” Treasurer’s Report; Tournament Results and Payouts; details about the next Tournament (e.g. location, launch ramp, weigh-in process and location, and Initial Pairings); payout for the meeting’s 50:50 Cash Pot; and a raffle of Member-donated items (tickets are 6 for $5, including entry in the Cash Pot). The meetings rarely go beyond 9:00 a.m.
Regarding the raffle — Everyone is encouraged to donate items. They need not be fishing-related, but they must be in good condition. Proceeds help underwrite the cost of annual membership. So, please check your boat, garage and storage unit(s). Surely you have something to donate.
