MWBA Meets on the 1st Wednesday of Each Month

For 2026, the dates are: January 7, February 4, March 4, April 1, May 6, June 3, July 1, August 5, September 2, October 7, November 4 and December 2.

Our meetings begin at 0800, at Denny's Restaurant, 2525 W Deer Valley Rd, Phoenix, AZ. Many Members come 60-90 minutes early to enjoy breakfast and chatter. The unwritten agenda typically includes: President’s Greeting and “Welcome, New Members;” Treasurer’s Report; Tournament Results and Payouts; the next Tournament (e.g. location, launch ramp, weigh-in process and location, and Initial Pairings); payout for the day’s 50:50 Cash Pot; and a raffle of Member-donated items (tickets are 6 for $5, including entry in the Cash Pot). The meetings rarely go beyond 9:00 a.m.

Regarding the raffle — Everyone is encouraged to donate items. They need not be fishing-related, but they must be in good condition. Proceeds help underwrite the cost of annual membership. So, please check your boat, garage and storage unit(s). Surely you have something you can donate.
