Tmx Participation Requirements & Processes
Membership must be current to fish in MWBA tournaments. Previous-Year Members must renew their Memberships before entering the January Tournament.
Tournament Payouts are a 1:4 ratio of Paid Places (ranked by Total Weight) to the Number of Boats entered.
The Club retains $350 of the Entry Fees total to fund its operational costs. In a 30-boat, 60-angler tournament, this leaves 90% of the Entry Fees in the Payout Pot. Most tournaments tout 80% Payouts.
Online entry deadline: 6:00 p.m. on the day before the Club meeting preceding the Tournament.
Entries may be submitted by mail (pay by Check) at the Club meeting immediately preceding the Tournament (pay by check or cash). Either way, submit payment with a completed (click link) Membership Form.
Boaters must carry at least $300,000 liability insurance on their boat.
Entrants must sign a Liability Waiver for the Club and assume personal liability for any damage they cause during Pre-Tournament and Tournament activities.
Co-Anglers are required to contact their Boater as soon as possible after being Paired, to discuss travel logistics, pre-fishing, paying the mandatory Fair Share Fee, whether a back-deck seat is needed, and details of fishing as a Team on Tournament Day (i.e. how and where to fish and what to use).
An Optional “Grudge Match Tournament” is held on the 3rd Wednesday of December, in lieu of a regular Monthly Tournament. The Grudge Match is the only MWBA Tournament in which non-Members may participate and Anglers may choose their Teammate. Regular MWBA Tournament Rules apply. The Entry Fee is $25, paid online. The Payout Ratio is 1:4.
Tournaments (including the Grudge Match) include an optional Side Pot. The $20/Angler Side Pot Fee must be paid in cash before the Pre-Launch Meeting. The Payout Ratio is 1:4.
